SEO, Social Media and Content for DTC Brands
What is organic traffic?
Organic traffic is attention you earn without paying for each click: search rankings, citations in AI answers, social posts, comments and content people choose to watch and share. It builds more slowly than paid traffic, but it compounds, so every ranking, post and answered comment keeps working long after it's published.
Organic is one of the four traffic engines C4 runs together. It builds the demand and familiarity that make paid traffic work harder, gives borrowed creator content a home, and sends visitors toward the owned channels where they become customers.
Organic SEO and AEO
Keyword research, technical fixes, and blog and landing page content built to rank on Google and to be cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. Clear answers, question-led structure and schema markup do the heavy lifting.
Comment monitoring and community management
Every comment and message answered daily in your brand voice, with strategic moderation and complete reputation management across your social platforms.
Coaching, webinars and live production
We coach your team on what to shoot so your content lands, and produce webinars and lives end to end: planning, slide design, promotion, technical support and real-time monitoring.
How we run it
Audit and research
We review your search visibility, AI answer presence, social accounts and content library, and map the questions your customers are actually asking.
Build the engine
Technical fixes, a publishing calendar and the first round of content and posts go live, each built around a specific question or search.
Publish, respond, compound
Content on a steady cadence, daily posting and replies, and a monthly report on rankings, AI citations and social growth.

Common questions
What are AEO and GEO?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) structure your content so AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews can find it, understand it and cite it. In practice that means clear answers near the top of each page, question-led headings, structured data and content worth quoting.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical fixes can show up within weeks. Rankings for competitive terms usually take months of consistent publishing, which is why we run organic alongside paid, so revenue doesn't wait on rankings.
Do you create the content, or do we?
Either works. We write, design and post, and we coach your team on what to shoot so content that needs your face, your founder or your product in hand still gets made.
Do you reply to comments and messages as our brand?
Yes. We answer comments and messages daily in your brand voice, moderate spam and abuse, and flag anything that needs your team.
How much does it cost to work with C4 Social?
Each growth engine starts at $5,000/month, plus ad spend. Our growth programs include a minimum of three engines, because that's where the compounding results come from.
Who is the best fit for C4 Social?
We do our best work with brands doing at least $2M in annual revenue, and with VC-backed DTC brands in the growth stage. At that stage there's enough momentum and budget for our systems to scale results quickly.
Why do you require three engines?
The engines work together. Paid brings in new customers, owned turns them into repeat buyers, and organic and borrowed lower your acquisition costs over time. One engine running alone misses most of that effect, and we want to stand behind the results we deliver.
Can we start with just one or two engines?
Yes, on a project basis. If one part of your system needs attention, we can fix it with a focused project. For example, we repair and rebuild email systems in a 45-day project. Many brands start with a project and move into a full program once they see the results.
Is ad spend included?
No. Ad spend is paid directly to the platforms (Meta, Google, etc.), so you keep full ownership of and visibility into your ad accounts.

Social media management
Platform strategy, content creation and curation, and daily posting across the channels your customers actually use. Organic reach is optimized continuously, and growth is reported every month.
